Is there any charge?
No, inclusion in SwitchIndex is free.

How long will it take to register an application?
About 3 minutes.

Why do I have to use the USBKeys 2 software to register?
Because USBKeys 2 gathers the information it requires so that it can automatically detect when your application is being used.

Do I need to purchase a Crick USB Switch Box in order to complete the registration?
No, registration can be completed without a switch box.

Is it cross-platform?
Yes. We collect information about Windows and Mac applications.

What about software that can be set up in more than one-way?
If you have software that can be set up for, say, Space and Return or the arrow keys, we suggest you choose whatever is the default. Then give information on alternatives in the ‘notes’ section of the database.

Will USBKeys 2 interfere with our software?
No. USBKeys 2 simply detects that your application is running. USBKeys 2 then sets itself up so that the correct inputs are generated.

Can USBKeys 2 set up the access preferences in our applications?
No, USBKeys 2 does not interfere with your application. The user will have to set up preferences in the usual way.

Can I submit information about third party applications?
Yes. Include the publisher’s name in the relevant place, and your company name as the information provider.

Will we be able to update our information held on SwitchIndex.com?
Yes. You can email us updated copies of your database at any time.

How soon after registration will our products appear on SwitchIndex.com?
Normally within one week.

Will information about our products be included on the USBKeys 2 CD?
Each time we press another batch of CDs, we will use the latest version of the database.
